Stop everything and do something creative. Right now (or write now).
I have been in such a routine lately that nothing creative has had the opportunity to come out.
So I just did it. My latest dramatic sketch called “Jagger Jig Jangle.” A nonsensical poem of sorts that relies on rhythm and rhyme to produce a kind of “seusical” quality that is going to be really fun to produce after my my actors stop looking at me like “are you kidding me” when they see the script.
It’s my first sketch for the RLT Players Season II which starts in August.
Perhaps I’ll post an excerpt sometime but not today. It’s still too fresh out of the oven. It needs to cool in the hot Malaysian air for a while before it’s ready to be consumed.
But in the meantime, I just wanted to encourage one and all to take a moment sometime soon to CREATE! It does the mind good.
