Death to Microsoft WORD! (perhaps)

I came across this interesting article about Microsoft WORD.  I must admit that WORD absolutely infuriates me at times as well.  I do use it for my novel-writing, but I’m finding more times than not I’m on Google Docs when trying to put something together – especially something I want to share.  It has also caused me so many formatting heartaches when trying to put together the final version of my various plays. This is not the first time I’ve thought that Microsoft is behind the “less is more” bandwagon when it comes to technology.  I mean, who uses Explorer anymore?   Will the paradigm shift leave Microsoft in the dust?  (see my post on KODAK bankruptcy http://wp.me/p25YFc-1L)  Could Microsoft find itself obsolete?  With web-based computing on a steady rise, maybe we’ll all shut our windows someday.   The day for WORD may be fast approaching.   What are your thoughts on Microsoft Word? Here’s the article:
