What’s different about writing drama? (Coming Soon! My new show!)

I love writing novels. I wish I could do it full time for a living.

But for pure enjoyment, what I do with drama probably tops novel-writing. Most likely it is the case because with drama I get to take my work and put it into production right away. Plus I get to collaborate with a wonderful team of young actors. We experiment, throw ideas off each other and figure out how best to perform it.

A novel sits beautifully on the written page, but drama is meant to jump to life in live action in front of a real audience which will engage, feel the emotion, and have their senses coupled a few times over because of the dynamic of watching it with others.

So my new show, “For All Generations”, a collection of 10 skits centered around generational themes is now only two weeks away. I can’t wait. If you are in town, please come on out!
