My Kindle Scout Message to Readers

Whether or not Kindle Press decides to pick up my new novel, Kindle Scout will be sending out a message to everyone who has nominated my book. It’s a personal message I wrote on their behest. Here it is:

“I consider it a true privilege when someone takes time out of their busy schedules to purposefully read something that I have written. It’s humbling, actually, and so I take my writing very seriously because I don’t want to waste your time. So thank you, sincerely, for nominating me and spending a few moments looking over my writing. It means the world to me.

I wanted to post this here as well because that’s how I truly feel. No reader owes me anything. No reader owes me a good review or even a few seconds of their busy days. But when someone chooses to read something that I have written, I am humbled by that. Tremendously, actually.

As I’ve said before, I spent many years not writing simply because I didn’t have the confidence to do it. I eventually let my love for writing take over and that helped me write several plays and then even novels. I am quite self-motivated to keep writing simply because I love the creative process.

However, the reviews and feedback that I’ve received from readers over the last couple of years truly has helped to sustain my efforts. It really motivates me to want to write even more engaging stories.

So thanks to all who nominated my book, and thanks to all who have taken the time to read my writing.
