It’s been a couple years since the whole family has taken some time to specifically go on an extended vacation. Well, it’s finally here again.

I’ll be heading out with the family on an 8 day self-drive tour of Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. This is our first family vacation to Europe, so as you can imagine we are very excited.

We’ll be spending a few days in Cochem, Germany. (Google it and look how cool it looks) Then we’ll be off to Bruges, Belgium  and finishing our tour in Haarlem on the outskirts of Amsterdam.

While I’m gone, my blog will be functioning as usual. Lots of interesting posts already lined up. I’m also hoping (actually, I’m sure) that this trip will give me LOTS more to write about and discuss in the coming weeks and months.

This trip is really our Christmas present to ourselves. We cut back on everything last Christmas so we don’t need to cut back on anything during our time in Europe.
