This is one of the basic questions I asked when writing my soon-to-be released novel Tesler and the Burning Bush. In the FROM THE AUTHOR description of the book, I wrote the following. It should give you a glimpse as to the purpose of the book. I hope it sounds intriguing, because writing it was intriguing to me:
Did you ever wonder when someone reaches their breaking point? When they throw their hands in the air and say, “That’s enough” and do something seemingly out of character? If you look closer though, you’ll see the signs, the wear and tear, the weariness in the eyes, the exasperated vacant eyes that tell you what they are about to do is indeed within the realms of their inner character.
This is what I set out to create: a creator who reaches the point of no return and destroys everything he build no matter the destruction it causes.
However, one thing rarely leads to that which you expect to happen. This is what our protagonist, the compliant tech billionaire Alden Rand Tesler, discovers when he disappears from the world, only to find a whole new world ready to be created.
Tesler and the Burning Bush is a contemporary story, which touches on many common talking points of our contemporary society. But it will hit you differently, because what we find on the mountaintop is never what is expected.
